Goal

Produce 220 robots for Google conferences in various cities.

Design

An efficient system to assemble, track and deliver high quality connected robots.

Assembly of many Bezzie robots

This project was a group effort to create 220 limited edition robots that respond to new messages. We designed and prototyped different versions of the Bezzie to assess our ability to reliably produce batches of robots.

I led product assembly and quality assurance to ensure the robots were distributed in Google events in cities across the world.

Mobile app used to control the Bezzies

The Bezzies respond to messages in fun and engaging ways. Users set up their preferences using an Android app to define which of their contacts will make the robot move.

App screens used to test the Bezzies

Each Bezzie had to be rigorously tested to ensure its proper H/W and software functioning. During the QA phase, I kept detailed tracking documents to ensure that the process was efficient.
